New York, New York - more than one reason to visit!

Last week, I had the pleasure of exhibiting at HX – The Hotel Experience – the hotel show in New York, for the first time. All I have to say is that this was a great experience, and it won’t be the last time I attend!  First of all, the show was relevant, organized, and of course, very hotel-focused. There was everything from the latest innovations, equipment vendors, the newest high-tech gadgets, to food consultants, and more, more, more! So, if anybody is looking for recommendations for a great show to visit, or participate as an exhibitor, I would definitely recommend it!

Outside of the obvious benefit of attending or exhibiting the hotel show, you have to love the opportunity to visit New York and enjoy this culinary mecca. It's been a couple of years since I was here, but whether strolling through Times Square, enjoying the street fare stands of Gramercy Park, or sitting enjoying a sidewalk café cocktail on Broadway as I glance up to the red and green illuminated Empire State building, I was often reminded what a great city this is.  As the city starts to don its Christmas attire, I enjoyed watching the faces of locals and visitors alike, as they gasp with eyes wide-open at the sights, sounds, and wonders of this vibrant city! Another bonus is the world-class restaurant and bar scene. I enjoyed three days of dining: late dinner after the show, breakfasts, casual lunches, and even the occasional cocktail! Every experience was unique, the food cutting-edge, service delivery a refined casual style, and a generally unpretentious, yet warm, ambiance. I especially appreciate the culinary fusions, [I had a couple of great meals in Korean District], and the artistry of professional bartenders who perform their magic and demonstrate that the craft cocktail culture is alive and strong.

Whether you need to connect with new clients, or visit with long-term customers, remember that this is a great venue to do this. Not only from a business development standpoint, but also on the food and beverage side - stay current, by experiencing the culinary offerings of this vibrant city that never sleeps.

Ask me about how I can help connect you with some of the newest innovations while at the show. Here are a few of the highlights that I really liked:

o   Glimpse - Video Auditing service

o   KarenPhoto – Culinary Photography

o   Marra Forni’s rotating wood ovens

o   New bars at Portable Bar Company

o   FOH or Oneida has great new glass and china lines

o   The latest in POS equipment by My Cloud and IQWare

o   Stylish aprons from Bib & Tucker

o   Old favorite Southern Aluminum has some great new options in banquet display tables

Please contact me for information on any of the above. Or, let me create a tailor made plan for your needs.
